L&M Policy Research is a women- and minority-owned firm with 8(a) status conferred by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The 8(a) program provides several benefits for both government contracting staff and certified companies, including:
- Many federal government agencies can contract directly with 8(a) firms. Click here for a complete list of government agencies.
- Participants can receive sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $3 million for goods and services.
- Recent changes permit 8(a) firms to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts. This enhances the ability of 8(a) firms to perform larger prime contracts and to provide a wide range of services.
