Research Associate
Chelsea Hipwell, M.P.H., is a Research Associate at L&M Policy Research. Ms. Hipwell has experience working on qualitative public health research in both English and Spanish with an emphasis on improving equitable access to healthcare. At L&M, Ms. Hipwell supports consumer testing research by preparing moderator guides and testing materials, as well as by notetaking, analyzing transcript data, and writing reports for projects that explore web tool usability features on various health insurance platforms through in-depth interviews and focus groups to gain the perspectives of beneficiaries, caretakers, and marketplace consumers.
Prior to joining L&M, Ms. Hipwell worked as a Program and Community Engagement Associate at Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia, a nonprofit seeking to advance education equity in the Greater Philadelphia area. Her global health studies took her to Argentina, where she conducted research on neglected tropical diseases, and to Ecuador, where she designed and conducted a needs assessment for a local community development NGO.
Ms. Hipwell holds a Master of Public Health with a Concentration in Global Health from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
